Skwigly Podcast: Bill Plympton (Plymptoons)
In the latest episode of the Skwigly Animation Podcast we’re delighted to welcome back New York-based, twice-Oscar-nominated indie animation legend Bill Plympton of Plymptoons. With a long-established reputation as one of the scene’s most prolific artists, Bill has recently added to a filmography of over fifty shorts and six features with two more of the latter, in the form of the mixed-media mockumentary Hitler’s Folly (presenting an alternative universe in which Adolf Hitler pursued a career in animation) and the upcoming Revengeance, a collaboration with kindred spirit Jim Lujan.
Also discussed in this episode: Progression in animated family films (and Daily Fail readers’ embarrassing resistance to it) amongst new trailers for upcoming features Finding Dory, Sing and Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires!
