Upstart Thunder (alias Jane Davies) has been fervently working as an animator, director and illustrator for over fifteen years. Hailing from Stevenage, she presently resides in Bristol having studied at Glamorgan Centre for Art & Design.

Amongst her recent animation work she has directed and animated for Frankenstein’s Cat (A Productions), the short Looshkin: Friendship with Jamie Smart as well as the musical segment Sit On My Face (A For Animation) for the recent collaborative feature A Liar’s Autobiography (listen to our interview here).

As well as her animation work she maintains a passion for photography and illustration, combining traditional and digital processes, and is a regular contributor to Vimeo’s Full Secs and the themed-illustration blog A Little Bit Bunny.
